since the dawn of the century, mankind's fascination with beings that possess extraordinary power and determination has grown. comic books have depicted tales of alien orphans and teenager's bitten by irradiated spiders saving the world. these modern day myths have proven to be more than fiction though. with the arrival of "supers" the government was forced to adapt. today, nearly every government in the world possesses superheroes. agents that answer to their respective government and operate as peacekeepers. other than their colorful costumes, secret codenames, and their amazing capabilities they are just like any other government employee. they have pensions, they pay their taxes, and they even get paid vacation every year. in exchange the government ensures the secrecy of their identity and the protection of their loved ones when they cannot. like any other being, these individuals have families and children. children who often times inherit abilities of their own. thomas morecroft high school might appear to be an ordinary school on the outside, but only students and administrators know the truth about it. a government run educational facility that caters specifically to the progeny of sanctioned superheroes. even those born of villains who have been lawfully removed from their custody are given a place at the school to prevent them from following in their parents footsteps. while some speculate the school carries a nefarious and secret agenda for the supers' offspring, the government maintains it's sole purpose is to teach the responsible development and control of abilities for the safety and security of the next generation of superheroes and villains.

loosely inspired by the film sky high, [info]morecrofthigh is a superhero high school game. thomas morecroft high school is a government run facility where the children of superheroes or just teenagers that possess powers or skills that set them apart from ordinary teenagers are trained to become the next generation of superheroes. the facility is located in the fictional city of nova city, an enormous bustling city on the east coast. basically a combination of metropolis and gotham city, with regions that run and look like a utopia, and others that are teeming with crime and corruption. even the children of villains are given a chance to attend in hopes of keeping them from turning out like their parents. the superheroes in this game are completely original, so feel free to create original codenames and backgrounds for your characters parents. heroes like batman and the x-men only exist in comics, so while references to them are made daily, there will be no tony starks or kryptonians patrolling the streets.

holds

when placing a hold, be sure to state which squad they will be on and what their power (if any) is. there will be no challenges. at the moment we'll only be accepting one power per character with the possibility/option that a latent secondary power will develop later in-game. we will be accepting duplicates of certain powers, but no more than two in order to prevent 6 different characters from having the same ability. for help on finding abilities, refer here.
